    There is not Freedoom in the Basque Country because of Eta.

    There is Democracy. There would not be real Democracy if the Eta ruled it. You can be sure of it. In fact, in the places where the political party of that terrorist gang rules, Democracy and Freedom have gone.

    I also wish the best for that region of Spain and to imprison those carcinogenic people and eveyone who helps and supports them too.

    I wish the best for you as well.
    Merry Christmas, Revoltaire.

    There’s More to Christmas

    There’s more, much more to Christmas
    Than just candle-lights and cheer;
    It’s the spirit of sweet friendship
    That brightens all the years;
    It is thoughtfulness and kindness,
    It is hope that is reborn again,
    For peace, for understanding
    And for goodwill to humans!

    Hi Ana
    Just to say hello and wish you a Merry Christmas.
    nice thread
    Actually I find fault with the story of the blind.
    The other patient had never realized that the other
    man was blind?.
    That only happens in fairy tales.
    I'm just kidding.
    Nice story.
    congratulations on the thread.

    And an important detail; outdoor light never came from where the window was supposed to be, but ignoring this, yes, it seems that the other patient never realized his matewas blind. Obviously he never paid enough attention in details.

    But in real life there are some blind people trying to hide their blindness.Trying to avoid it pretending they can see. Some of them do it because they don´t want the others to know. The reasons may be various: they don´t feel disables and don't want to be treated like one. Or they feel better and more valid if they can hide their blindness. And some others do it merely as a game to see how long people take to realize.

    Nice to see you here, Ronaldo! Welcome!

    Thanks for your words. I like them. sunny

    Merry Christmas to you, too!

    In fact it's true. I know two of them: my brothers in low. They don't want to use stick, because they think that everybody is going to treat them lower, or that they're going to get less successful in life. Time ago, I had hardly worked to try to explain to my husband that it was necesary, becaause he often had some falls and accidents. Sometimes when we had to talk to someone unknown until then, He said: "Don't say that I can't see". He had the advantage that his eyes seemed to have no defect, and nobody relized it. But, at the end, always happened something that discovered that, and then he got angry.

    Hello, Tartu.

    It is a good thing you have learned a new word thanks to this piece of news. Great!

    And you are right and wrong at fifty-fifty.

    It is a boy, certainly, but not with a wig. His hair is real.

    Hello, Tay.
    I thought just the same. Wink

    Here is the page with some more photos of the pageant on the river Thames last Sunday. -I could not upload it yesterday-.
    The queen and her husband Philip were 4 hours on that boat in the open air and never sat down. They were all the time standing up as it is seen in the photo. And in a rainy and windy cold day! The queen is 86 and Prince Philip 91. They don´t need walking-sticks either. That couple is incredibly strong and healhty. Admirable!
    Wink
